For its 30th anniversary, the Pacific Mozart Ensemble has been commissioned by the Oliver Ranch Foundation to create two site-specific pieces by noted Bay Area composers Amy X Neuburg and Sanford Dole. These will be performed October 23 and 24 at the tower designed by Ann Hamilton for the Oliver Ranch in Geyserville.
Ms. Neuberg's piece will be a multi-voiced piece around the theme of birth and renewal, allowing the audience to hear sound both inside and outside the tower, while Mr. Dole's piece is a reflection on the 10-part chorus Gabrieli motet "Vox Domini", which will also be performed. They will fill up the Tower with sound and movement for a spectacular show that you don't want to miss.
The performances will be on Saturday October 23, 2010, 5-6 pm and Sunday October 24, 2010 4-5 pm (Sunday October 24 benefits the Cinnabar Theater in Petaluma, CA).
Get one (or both!) of these dates on your calendar and stay tuned for more information on how to order tickets.
